$1000.00 SCHOLARSHIP  

2010 APPLICATION GUIDELINES

 The Whitman County Association of REALTORS® is a nonprofit organization that is actively involved in serving our communities. By helping you further your education we feel that we are supporting Whitman County.  We recognize both the value and the financial burden of a college education. We want to encourage you to strive for your dreams.

 It is the goal of the Whitman County Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Program to provide $1000.00 to one Whitman County High School senior who will attend WSU this fall.

 Please compile your application in the following order: 

1.    A copy of your letter of acceptance to Washington State University (5 pts)

 2.    A letter of nomination from a school official.  (5 pts) 

3.   A copy of your grade transcript (10 pts) 

4.    A letter of recommendation from a person that you have known for at least         two years who is not a relative or school official. (5 pts) 

5.    Completed application form (10 pts) 

6.    Typed essay (up to 25 pts) See application form for details 

7.   Each applicant is responsible for and will be judged on the completeness and the compilation order of their application packet. (10 pts)

Applications judged on scholastic achievement, activities, interests, the essay, and the ability to follow the above instructions.

Please do not put your application in a binder, it may be stapled, paper clipped or loose in the envelope. Committee members will receive a copy of your full application with the name removed and a number assigned instead to ensure no bias is given someone they may know personally.
