Food Drive and 1st Responders Appreciation Day

With the help of our members, WCAR collected over 105 pounds of food for the food bank and distributed Thank You/Appreciation baskets filled with homemade baked good and treats to 5+ first responder locations in Whitman County.

Habitat for Humanity

During the month of August several of our members committed their weekends to The Palouse Washington Habitat for Humanity home at 535 Union Street. During their time working on the home, floor joists were installed along with exterior and some interior walls. WCAR would like to commend those who participated and we all would like to thank Habitat for Humanity for allowing this opportunity to serve the community.

Adopt a Highway

WCAR members have adopted the 2 mile stretch of the Pullman/Moscow Highway starting at the Grain Bins by Wheatland Express and running east to the Avista station.

Cleanup dates are June 10, 2010, August 18, 2010, and October 27, 2010.

We have had a good turnout so far and the highway looks great. Contact Kathy Motley (509-332-4567) for additional information and times.
